Meet your mentee, Alysha.

Alysha describes herself as nice, funny, and friendly. She grew up in the Bronx, speaks Spanish at home, and is currently watching Ginny & Georgia, All American: Homecoming, and The Summer I Turned Pretty. In school, her favorite subjects are math—because it feels easy to her—and science, where she earned strong grades and enjoyed the labs. She is involved in SAG, RAP Club, and serves as a Student Ambassador, where she has taken on leadership roles and earned the most community service hours in her grade. Outside of school, one of her favorite things to do is take her sister to the park because she likes seeing her happy. She’s exploring future paths such as law or becoming an ultrasound technician, and she joined GCSA because she enjoys meeting new people and appreciates having a mentor she can talk to about her feelings and goals.

There are several meaningful connections between you and Alysha. She values open communication, emotional honesty, and strong relationships—qualities that align well with your flexible, understanding approach and your commitment to building deeper ties in your community. Her interest in exploring different career paths fits naturally with your experience navigating opportunities in relationship-driven work. Alysha also appreciates guidance, structure, and someone who thinks ahead, which matches your strengths in problem-solving, long-term planning, and supporting young people. She will benefit from your steady, encouraging presence as she continues to grow, lead, and prepare for her future.
