2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon

We are proud to be a first-time official New York Road Runners charity partner for the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. Team GCSA runners will raise critical funds to support scholarships for New York City public high school students.

Race: 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon

Date: Sunday, March 15, 2026

Start Time: 8:00 am

Start Location: Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Apply to join Team GCSA through the New York Road Runners Charity Program and help fund scholarships for NYC students.

​

Run across the iconic streets of New York City as part of Team GCSA for the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon and invest in a New York City public high school student’s future. From Brooklyn to Central Park, the 13.1-mile course takes you over the Manhattan Bridge, along the FDR, and through Times Square. Every dollar raised directly supports the GCSA Class of 2028 Scholarship Fund, providing $4,000 scholarships to low-income New York City public high school students for post-secondary programs of their choice.

​Applications must be submitted by December 15, 2025. Selected runners will be notified by December 19, 2025. Fundraising and training guidance will officially begin on January 12, 2026. The fundraising deadline is March 11, 2026.

Team GCSA Runner Benefits

As a member of Team GCSA, you’ll receive:

  • Guaranteed entry to the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon

  • Personalized training guidance and recommended preparation resources

  • A custom fundraising webpage tied directly to the Class of 2028 Scholarship Fund

  • An official Team GCSA race t-shirt and other branded goodies

  • An invitation to a pre-race gathering or post-race celebration

  • Recognition on GCSA’s website and social media

​Runner Registration Requirements & Commitment

To join Team GCSA, runners must:

  • Register through New York Road Runners (NYRR) and pay their own race registration fee:

    • $135 for NYRR members

    • $160 for non-members

  • Provide a valid credit card as a personal guarantee to secure their fundraising commitment

  • Commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 for GCSA

  • Meet all fundraising requirements by Monday, March 11, 2026

Selection Process

GCSA has secured five (5) guaranteed charity entries for the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon.​ All interested runners must complete an application. If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the number of available spots, runners may be selected through a review or lottery process. Additional spots may be added only if they become available through NYRR. Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot on Team GCSA.


Important Dates

  • Applications due: December 1, 2025

  • Runner selection completed by: December 19, 2025

  • Fundraising begins: January 2, 2026

  • Training guidance begins: Mid-January 2026

  • Fundraising deadline: March 11, 2026

  • Race day: March 15, 2026
