Meet your mentor, Charmain.

Charmain is a college and career access professional with 17 years of experience helping students explore opportunities, understand the college process, and build their futures. She earned her Master’s at from SUNY Stony Brook and has spent her career supporting students across New York and New Jersey. She loves learning from her students and brings a calm, supportive presence. Outside of work, Charmain enjoys traveling, relaxing at the beach (even though she can’t swim), watching rom-coms and action movies, sewing, bowling, reading, and listening to audiobooks.

You and Charmain connect in some meaningful ways. You’re both artistic, thoughtful, and deeply motivated by family, and you both enjoy movies, creative work, and exploring your interests. You love architecture, building things, drawing, and planning big projects, and Charmain’s long career in college access makes her especially excited to help you choose colleges, explore architecture pathways, and become the first in your family to pursue higher education. You’re loyal, adventurous, and organized, someone who handles stress well and stays focused on your goals. Charmain appreciates your mix of mystery and warmth, your commitment to art, and your desire to help your family—she’s looking forward to supporting your journey toward architecture and helping you feel confident in the steps ahead.
