Meet your mentee, Dylan.
Dylan describes himself as funny, attentive, and a foodie. He grew up in Manhattan and loves spending time with friends and family, socializing, and having lighthearted conversations that help him connect with people. He enjoys watching Abbott Elementary, anime like Black Clover, and reality TV. His favorite class is Art and Design because it gives him the most creative freedom. He especially enjoys designing landscapes and layouts, similar to the kinds of structures he builds in games like The Sims. He also likes science and anything that invites him to think visually and imaginatively.
In school, Dylan is deeply involved in roles that build community. He serves in Student Government, is part of the Social Emotional Learning team where he helps plan crew lessons and recommends ideas to teachers, and he is also a Student Ambassador. Outside of school, he likes visiting family and taking walks with his dog, Houdini. Dylan is talkative, artistic, thoughtful, and skilled at building strong relationships. He hopes to enter the architecture field in the future and earn a stable income to support his family. He joined GCSA because he is excited to have a long-term mentor, gain support throughout high school and college, and explore new perspectives that will help him grow.
