Meet your mentor, Emily.

Emily is the Publicity Director at Penguin Random House, where she helps authors connect with readers all over the world.

She studied Sociology with a minor in Creative Writing at Princeton University and has a background in building relationships, managing schedules, and staying organized under pressure.

Emily enjoys attending concerts, exploring new places, baking, pottery, traveling, watching movies, and creative writing. She’s passionate about working with youth and helping students explore their interests and futures.

Emily is excited to work with you because you both share a love for creativity, music, and organization. She knows what it’s like to manage busy schedules and multiple responsibilities—just like you do as a PSAL sports manager—and can offer tips on balancing activities, schoolwork, and personal projects.

Emily will support you by helping you explore your interests in art, design, and education, offering guidance on how to prepare for college, and providing a friendly, understanding perspective as you plan for your future.
