Meet your mentor, Joscelyn.
Joscelyn is a senior Psychology student at Pace University who is passionate about youth development and empowering young people to believe in their abilities. Through her role with GCSA she supports students in exploring their interests, building confidence, and thinking through future academic and personal pathways. Her interests include student well-being, confidence building, and helping young people develop the skills they need to navigate challenges and reach their goals. Outside of school, Joscelyn loves staying active, spending quality time with close friends, and saying “yes” to new experiences, whether that’s picking up a new skill or just doing something fun and different.
As a mentor, Joscelyn brings a warm, patient, and encouraging approach. She is comfortable talking about emotions and personal growth, and believes in meeting students where they are to create a space that feels safe for sharing thoughts, asking questions, and being themselves. This connects well with you, Aleysi, especially since you are thoughtful, goal-oriented, and enjoy learning and staying organized. Joscelyn’s background in psychology, her experience supporting students, and her understanding of balancing responsibilities can be especially helpful as you continue growing and thinking about your future goals.
