Meet your mentee, Lizbeth.

Lizbeth describes herself as respectful, mindful, and creative, and she brings a warm, artistic energy to everything she does. She grew up in Queens and speaks Spanish at home.

Art is her favorite class, and she enjoys exploring different mediums like watercolor, acrylic painting, and drawing people and still lifes as she strengthens her artistic skills. This year, she hopes to take a fashion class to expand her creativity even further.

Outside of school, Lizbeth loves watching animal documentaries such as Planet Earth and caring for her pet birds. Her favorite animal is the lemur, which she enjoys visiting at the Prospect Park Zoo. She also likes attending cooking events—she even won a prize for making BBQ—and is excited about applying for jobs as she begins preparing for college and the future. Alongside her artistic goals, Lizbeth is also interested in getting her real estate license.
