Meet your mentor, Tom.

Tom is from Massachusetts and works as a Publisher at Penguin Random House, where he helps create and publish books for kids. He studied English at St. Anselm College, where he loved his classes and even became Editor-in-Chief of the college newspaper. He’s a big reader, enjoys concerts and cooking, and follows all the Boston sports teams. Tom is calm, creative, and a patient problem-solver who really enjoys supporting young people. He even donated SAT prep books to GCSA last year, so he knows how important that process is and is excited to help you get ready.

You and Tom connect in some meaningful ways. You’re both curious, detail-oriented, and enjoy solving problems while building strong relationships. He’ll be someone you can talk to openly, who understands what it’s like to balance hard work and big goals, and who can help guide you as you explore technology, prepare for AP classes, and get ready for college. Tom is excited to support you, encourage your ideas, help you stay organized, and walk with you through each step as you grow your skills, take on new challenges, and make the most of every opportunity.
