Mentor Spotlight: Khianna
Khianna is a Partnerships and Sales Manager at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and a proud native of Jamaica, Queens. She attended Dutchess Community College, earned her Associate’s degree in Economics, and is currently enrolling at CUNY School of Professional Studies to complete her bachelor’s degree in Business. Outside of work, Khianna enjoys concerts, dancing, tennis, traveling, and binge-watching TV—especially political dramas. She values strong relationships, flexibility, and forward thinking, and she brings those qualities into every space she enters.
A legacy mentor, Khianna returned to GCSA this winter and was recently matched with her new 10th-grade mentee, Alysha, from the Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction. Her return builds on the meaningful impact she made during her previous mentoring cycle, when she mentored Orianna, now a freshman studying nursing at Lehman College.
During Orianna’s senior year, Khianna provided steady guidance through the college application process, offering practical support with essays, postsecondary planning, and goal setting. Together, they created a 2025 vision board that helped Orianna stay focused and motivated during a pivotal moment in her high school journey.
Beyond her one-to-one mentorship, Khianna is a consistent presence in the GCSA community. She shows up—attending our annual summer picnic, participating in mentor mixers, and engaging in community-building events like our Dave & Buster’s outings—demonstrating a deep, sustained commitment to our students, alumni, and broader network.
